CT STARS POLICY

Travel teams are designed to play and participate in high level tournaments. Each travel team will have about 10-12 girls on the team. Players must try out for a team. Upon selection, you will be notified with information on your team, tournaments, practices and cost.

CT Stars will be a bit more flexible with commitment. We understand many of you may be playing other activities. Travel team members are expected to be at most tournaments. You will get the tournament schedule early enough to plan for the next few months. Practices will be important because that is where you will learn all the fundamentals of volleyball. Please try to attend as much as possible but do not be afraid to let us know if a time or date may not work due to a family obligation or such.

Included in the fees of the programs are rental facilities, coaches, tournaments fees, and equipment. Players are responsible for their own transportation, hotels and cost of meals.

Transportation will be done by parents. Parents, not athletes, are to drive to tournaments. We encourage carpools because we understand there may be family obligations preventing parents to drive to every tournament. While we would like parents attending, please note carpooling is good within a team. Once teams are selected, you will get a team roster with contact information making it easy to communicate with others on your player’s team. Different teams will be travelling different places so make sure you coordinate with someone on your team! Please note Coaches are not allowed to drive players. Hotel Rooms- Players will be rooming with a parent. If the parent is not traveling, athletes may stay together but the hotel must be divided up. Chaperone will be needed for any athletes travelling without a parent along with note from parent.

Parents are encouraged to attend tournaments! At overnights, players will stay with their parents/guardians. You will be responsible for your child so please plan accordingly.

At tournaments, players may only leave the team with the permission of their coach. All players will remain together until the coach dismisses them.

Please remember that at tournaments we will be expected to show the utmost respect to our team, opponents, coaches, officials and fans. Bad sportsmanship from players and parents will not be tolerated. We are expecting players to respect each other on and off the court and over social media. Any form of online bullying or harassment will not be tolerated.

Refund Policy

CT STARS/ MIZUNO does not offer any refunds for club volleyball athletes since the loss of an athlete cannot be easily replaced once all club athletes have committed to their teams. Therefore, CT STARS/ MIZUNO defines the start of the season as the team’s first practice and not the team’s first tournament.

However, participants of CT STARS/ MIZUNO who have to withdraw from the program due to personal injury may receive a pro-rated refund. These requests must be made in writing and forwarded to Director Stefan Cibere.
