ABOUT MEVBC

Wanting to fill a void in boys volleyball in the state, Coach Cibere began working with Coach Lovelett to get MEVBC, the longest and most successful boys club in CT, back up and running. MEVBC and CT STARS partnered up to bring back the club better than ever. Finding the top coaches in the state that believed in the growth and development of each individual player was the primary goal. That was achieved with the hiring of an excellent staff that not only have strong resumes and winning history but kind and good people to lead the next generation of volleyball players. MEVBC is a program designed to introduce new players to the game of volleyball and to improve all levels of experienced player. We promote: team-work, discipline, effort and teach success. We work hard, expect all members to do their best, be honest, and have good sportsmanship.

Our coaches are well regarded in the volleyball community. We are fortunate enough to have coaches and staff with a history of excellence. We have close ties with many college programs and have guest coaches including Charlie Sullivan, the head coach of Springfield College, 2012, 2013,2014 NCAA Division III National Champions. We are also lucky to have Theo Brunner as a guest coach, current TEAM USA member who is currently playing professionally and hoping to represent the USA in the next Olympics.

MISSION

Our goal is to teach the game of volleyball, ensure sportsmanship and to build the finest club possible. We welcome beginners and also work with developed players who strive to play in serious college programs. If you have the desire, we will teach you the game. We have multiple teams and players at every level. We want you to improve, we want you to meet your potential, and we want you to love the game.

HISTORY

We have a rich history of CT and NY volleyball players who have all worn the MEVBC uniform. With over 40 ALL STATE volleyball players come through our program, MEVBC has always been recognized as a top boys club volleyball program not only in CT but nationally. We were the first CT team to win a boys National Championships at the USA Volleyball Championships in 2017 (pic above).

VALUES

We value providing an atmosphere where sportsmanship, teamwork and character are qualities of all our athletes. We want to build players who love the challenge of learning and becoming not only better athletes but people. Together with a strong coaching staff, professional training and a positive atmosphere, MEVBC is a place of excellence for volleyball.
